Fire Weather Concerns over Northwest Iowa Tomorrow

In All Posts, Fire Weather, Forecasts by Henry LukerLeave a Comment

The National Weather Service offices in Des Moines, Omaha, and Sioux Falls have issued Fire Weather Watches for tomorrow afternoon due to winds and low humidity leading to extreme fire danger. A strong southerly 20-30 MPH wind in combination with 20-40% relative humidity will lead to dangerous fire conditions.

Any fires that are started will easily have the capabilities to spread quickly – please do not burn outside tomorrow due to the dangerous conditions. Stay tuned to later conditions for additional information.
