The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood Watch for Winneshiek, Allamakee, Fayette, and Clayton counties in northeast Iowa from 7:00 p.m. Thursday through noon Friday. Another round of heavy rain is expected tonight with up to three inches possible. This heavy rain in combination with already-moist soils may lead to flooding in some areas, especially near and along rivers. Flood Warnings remain in effect this afternoon basically all along the Mississippi, as well as the West Fork Des Moines, Little Sioux, and Big Sioux Rivers in northwest Iowa. The Upper Iowa and Turkey Rivers in northeast Iowa may also flood. Expect ditches running full and potential ponding of water.
